Albums
The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and several compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed, members of the band did sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The collaboration led to the formation of Toto in the year 1976.
Toto's third album, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous albums, and was criticised for its lack of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen quit, and the band held auditions to find a new frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band. The band went through old recordings and tapes to create the special record. The album was well-received by fans and Toto embarked on the tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

Shem von Schröck took over Leland Sklar as the drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included live recordings from the tour and also an interview with the group.
